Amir Farahmand Champion Racing Driver. There are people who simply enjoy driving fast, and then there are those who dedicate their lives to mastering speed. Amir Farahmand belongs to the second group—a professional racing driver whose commitment, discipline, and passion have led him to success on some of North America’s most demanding race circuits.

As an automotive photographer based in Dubai, I have photographed hundreds of luxury cars, supercars, and motorsport vehicles. However, photographing the person behind the steering wheel often tells an even more compelling story than the machine itself.

During our photoshoot, I had the opportunity to meet Amir Farahmand and learn more about the journey that made him one of Canada’s accomplished racing drivers.

One of my favorite aspects of automotive photography is capturing the connection between a driver and their race car. Every professional racer develops a unique relationship with the machine they compete in. My goal was to document not only Amir’s achievements but also the determination, confidence, and passion that define him as a competitor. Rather than simply creating portraits, I wanted each image to tell a story—the story of a driver who has spent years pushing limits both on and off the racetrack.

Motorsport photography is about much more than fast cars. It captures emotion, preparation, concentration, teamwork, and the pursuit of perfection. Every helmet carries a story, every trophy represents countless hours of practice, and every race is another chapter in a driver’s journey. Working with professional drivers like Amir reminds me why I enjoy automotive photography so much: every photoshoot becomes a story worth sharing.
